Pedagogical Computer Network

Equipment:
- Application and Data Server (word 2000, Excel 2000, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Works…)
- Internet Proxy server
- Lotus notes Mail server
- Library data server
42 network-linked computers (computer rooms, teachers' staff room, library, biology and chemistry labs…)

Teaching, learning and self-service:
The pedagogical computer room consists of 16 network-linked computers.
Foreign languages are made easier to learn with the assistance of CD-ROMs in English, German, Spanish, and Italian versions and the teacher's help. Business and communications software are available for students who need to write down their vocational reports or dissertations before graduating.

Internet:
The use of the Internet is tightly connected to new pedagogical techniques. Cibeins' teachers and computing staff aim to make all students as self-reliant as possible. The Rhone-Alpes Region Council has recently provided our school with Internet Access Booths and a mail service "S.I.E.R.R.A"
