The
Alumni Association of Cibeins Agricultural High School was
created back in 1923, first graduation year.
The Alumni are devoted to keep a close bond of friendship
and assistance between former and today's students.
Around 700 former students are part of Cibeins Agricultural
High School Alumni Association.
The members are committed to four priority activities:
1. Job seeking:
We
regularly set up vocational and job forums with former students
as guest.
The graduates can check our website "anciens.cibeins.@educagri.fr"
to get an appointment, a work placement or a job.
We also offer special training for job seeking.
Our main partner is the Rhône -Alpes Region Council.
2. Communication:
The
Alumni Association Newsletter has been issued every two
months since 1923.
The letters column is the most popular of all.
We publish a shorter version of 20-30 letters from members
in each issue.
In 1997, a survey was carried out and published in the Newsletter.
It helped us to get detailed information on how young job
seekers felt and what they worried about.
This survey has been of much assistance to us and to the
young graduates.
3. The Alumni phone book :
This
directory is issued every five years and helps all the Alumni
to keep in touch and meet on private, recreational or official
occasions :
- graduation anniversary meetings and cocktails
- Parisian dinner as a fringe event of the Agriculture Exhibition
- Visit of the French House of Lords or Senate with an Alumni
Senator as guide
4. Cibeins Agricultural High School
and the Alumni Association :
The
President of the Alumni Association, Mr Jean Fourel who
has worked for Rhône Poulenc Pharmaceuticals Corporation
(known as Bayer now) is a most dynamic and dedicated personality.
He is an official member of the Board of Directors of Cibeins
school.
The Association is involved in the various official conferences
and meetings of the school.
All the members are keen to keep a close bond of friendship
between the older and younger generations.
